Flea burden is a common problem seen in many households that can be difficult to eradicate. To get rid of a flea burden, it is important to treat the affected pet, other pets in the household, and the environment in which the pets live. This involves regular flea treatment with one of our recommended veterinary-grade products; Bravecto, Simparica, Advantage or Advocate and environmental treatment with vacuuming and flea bombs. Ticks are another type of external parasite that commonly cause problems for pet owners. Certain species of ticks can transmit infectious diseases as well as cause tick paralysis, a life threatening condition. The best defence against tick paralysis is to prevent tick bites by using regular tick treatment and to perform regular tick searches on your pet, especially in the summer months.
